The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it is actually alarmed about the large amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The service point produced for intervention experiences a superior inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it hard sassa status to the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to permit the servicing of all buyers and boost access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
